How to create an icon on the desktop?

 
   

 

Analyst can be installed in any drive such as C:\, D:\, E:\, F:\ etc.   For e.g. (if analyst is installed in E:\ ), then

  • Right click on blank desktop & select New from menu

  • Select Shortcut option & click

  • A new window will appear. 

  • Now type E:\Analyst\Analyst.exe in the text box

  • Click Next

  • Click Finish option.

 
       
  Q2. How to make full screen?  
     

Steps to be followed are:

  • Right click on the Analyst Icon from the desktop & go to Properties from pop-up menu

  • Select Screen option from tab menu

  • Select Windows under Usage option & click OK

  • Double click on the icon from the desktop. Analyst will appear on the screen, Right click on the title bar.     

  • Click on Properties from pop-up menu

  • Double click on Analyst Icon &.right click on title bar

  • Select Properties (check Lay out from tab menu)

  •  Normal screen buffer size width x height is 80 x 25 respectively

  •  Window size -- width x height is 80 x 25 respectively

  • Select Option. Then select Full screen under Display option & click OK

  • Then select 2nd option under Apply Properties i.e. Saves properties for future windows same title & click OK. Press Esc key

  • Again right click on Analyst icon from desktop

  • Select Properties from pop up menu & double click

  • Select Screen option & select Full screen under Usage option

  • Click Apply & OK

 
       
  Q3.

How to change the configuration to files=200? 

 
   

 

Steps to be followed are:

  • Click on Start

  • Select Run option & type config.nt  & click OK

  • Select the program from a list of options & click OK

  • A list of programs will appear. Click on notepad

  • Automatically config-notepad file will open. Scroll to the end & change Files=40 to Files=200

  • Go to Files in the menu bar, Save & Exit.

 

Windows 95 & 98 Edition

In config.sys add

Files=200

Buffers=10

 

Analyst automatically updates the system to above configuration at the time of installation.

 
   

 

 
  Q4.

How Map Networking is to be done?

 
   

 

Steps to be followed:

  • Double click on Network places on the desktop

  • Select View workgroup members (under Network tasks in side menu bar/ listed in left hand side of window) & double click

  • Select server machine where you have installed the Analyst/Pharma & double click

  • Select the shared drive where the Analyst/Pharma is installed & right click on the drive

  • Click Map network drive from menu

  • Type Z: , Y: ,X: and so on in the drive

  • See whether the option Reconnect at logon is ticked. (If not, tick it)

  • Click Finish & close the window

  • Go to My computer, Open & check.

 
       
  Q5. How to solve with problems of net error?  
 

 

 

Steps to be followed are:

  • All users exit from the package

  • Go to My computer

  • Select the perfect software drive where the Analyst is installed &right click on the folder

  • Find the files Semaphor.DBF & Semaphor.NTX select & Delete

  • Close the window

 
       
  Q6. How to solve the problem of DOS error 5?  
   

 

The following error messages are shown the screen

 

Error DBFNTX/1001

Open Error : \Analyst\PARAM.DBF.

 

Steps to be followed are:

  • Go to My computer

  • Click on the drive where Analyst is installed & open

  • Select on Analyst & give a right click

  • A menu will appear. Click on Properties.

  • Inactive Read-only memory under Attributes option. Click Apply & OK.

  • A message box is shown. Select 2nd option i.e. Apply changes to this folder, subfolder & files. Click OK

 
       
  Q7.

When bank account is not showing in bank transactions?

 
   

 

Steps to be followed are:

  • Go to Files in the menu bar, select Accounts & enter

  • Under accounts head select Add option (see left hand side bottom)in the box & enter

  • Select Ledger type Bank a/c & press enter

  • Select current asset & enter. Fill up the a/c with all the details as required-such as BSR code, opening balance etc

  • A message box will appear showing Confirm? Y/N Type Y & enter

While opening bank A/c you may have wrongly tagged General instead of bank in Ledger type. You have to Delete all the entries made against this a/c & then Delete the a/c from the File-A/c.

 
       
  Q8.

When you get no eval method message?

 
   

 

Steps to be followed are:

  • Go to Utility in the menu bar & select Document design from menu & enter

  • Slect the particular menu such as sales invoice, sales challan, quotation etc where the problem has occurred & press enter

  • Select Edit existing format & press enter

  • Select Existing Format from Format detail box & enter

  • Select the format you are using & enter

  • Select header/body/footer option from the format where you are having the problem & check for brackets that have not been properly opened or closed. If you have a missing or an extra bracket [ ], please rectify.

Back Up?

 
   

 

The following steps to be followed:

  • Go to Utility in the menu bar. A pop up menu will appear on screen , select Back up   data & press enter.

  • A window will appear on screen showing Quick compressed back up (Y/N).Type Y & press enter.

  • Then type the name of the drive in enter drive name for backup ie A or C or D.

  • Enter Full Pathname for back up ie A:\ or C:\ or D:\ & so on (C:\BACK UP -eg) & enter.

  • Analyst will give a warning message Analyst will back up data in [showing the  path] Continue?Y/N.Type Y.

  • Press any key to proceed A message will be shown-back up successful .

  • Exit.

 
       
  Q10.

Demo Version this is not the original version of Analyst?

 
   

 

The following steps to be followed:

  • When you get message Demo Version while entering data in cash/bank/sales/purchase/journal options, it means the package that is being used is unregistered. If it is Unregistered then please contact Next Computing Pvt Ltd for registration. If it is registered package then some changes have been made in your computer operating system or you must have formatted your hard disk or you may have changed the machine.

  • Go to Utility in the menu bar. A pop up menu will appear on screen, select Product Registration No & press enter

  • Type the Floppy/CD serial no, machine ID & Registration no (12 digit no)

  • Press enter.

 
       
  Q11.

Mismatch in ledger balance compare to F5 or Query?

 
   

 

The following steps to be followed:

  • Go to Utility in the menu bar, then Fine tuning & press enter

  • Then click Recheck balances

  • Select Rectify mismatch ledger balances & enter

  • Exit.

 
       
  Q12. When trial balance is not tallying?  
 

 

 

  • Select the co. from the list & press enter

  • After back up is taken ( steps of back up as mentioned above)

  • Go to Utility in the menu bar

  • Select Fine tuning & press enter

  • Select Recheck balance & press enter

  • Select Check all transaction files  & enter

  • A message box will appear which will give the warning- make sure to take back up before running this .Type Y

  • Press Esc key & exit

  • If you have not taken the Back up then you are recommended to take the back up & if you have already taken it then you can skip this message. Fine tuning will take few minutes to Run so please bear it.

  • Check the trial balance & report

 
       
  Q13.

Trial balance mismatch due to Opening balance in Profit & Loss A/C?

 
   

 

  • Select File from menu bar & press enter

  • Select Account under File & again press enter

  • A window will appear. Select Edit Option(see bottom left)

  • Press enter & type Profit & loss A/c in the space provided in the account name & take the curser to opening balance. If there is any amount make it zero.

  • A message box will appear which will show Confirm? Y/N. Type Y & press enter

  • Then press Esc key.

 
       
  Q14.

How to remove WIP after year end?

 
   

 

  • Open Analyst icon & select Files from menu bar & press enter

  • A popup menu will appear. Select Opening balances and press enter.

  • Another popup menu will appear. Select Products from the menu bar & press enter

  • An Opening balance for product screen will appear. Select the product & press F8 to Add, Edit or Delete the WIP quantity & WIP value. Change the WIP quantity & WIP value accordingly & press enter

  • Then press F10 to Save

  • Press Esc key. A message box will appear which will show Exit without saving? No/Yes. Press Yes.

 
       
  Q15. How to transfer profit to next accounting year?  
   

 

  • Go to Files in the menu bar. Select Accounts under Files & press enter.

  • Select Add option & type Profit & Loss Appropriation A/c in the A/c name , select Ledger type General &  select a/c type Expense. Type N in the message box Manufacture/Trading/None of this.. & press enter.

  • A message box will appear to confirm the a/c .Type Yes(Y), press enter & Esc key.

  • Then go to Entry in the menu bar, select Journal & press enter.

  • A journal entry screen will appear. Pass the following entry

                    Profit & Loss Appropriation A/c  Dr.

                               To Capital a/c or any other required a/c A/c

  • Press enter.

 
       
  Q16. How to install AnalystERP in your system ?  
     

If you have Windows 7 32 bit in your system:

  • Unzip AnalystERPSetup  file by Double Clicking on it and Save it to desired location

  • Run Setup file

  • Select Windows under Usage option & click OK

  • Accept All license agreements then follow the instruction as per requirement

  • Install AnalystERP in your desired location(i.e. C:\,D:\ etc).

If you have Windows 7 64 bit in your system: If you have Windows 8,8.1,10 32/64 bit in your system:
  • Go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Turn Windows features on or off

  • Tick Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5.1(With 2.0 and 3.0) and install features from Windows update

  • Download SQL Express and install it

  • Then Follow the instruction given for Windows 7 32 bit
